VIDEO: Grandmother brutally attacked in purse snatching at grocery store

A 74-year-old grandmother was brutally attacked inside a Publix grocery store in Ocoee, Florida.

Charlotte Dunaway was minding her own business on a routine shopping trip on August 17, 2014 when she was assaulted by an unknown assailant who grabbed her purse.  A horrifying security video captured the attack by an unknown black man who grabbed Dunaway’s purse, and in the process flung her to the ground.  The attack left Dunaway unconscious and bleeding on Publix’s floor.

The brave grandmother spoke out about the attack to clickorlando.com saying:

I could have been killed the way they slammed me, the way he slammed me on that floor and with the head injury I have he could have murder on his hands.

After spending some time in the hospital Dunaway was cleared to leave.  In all she suffered a broken collar bone, and multiple contusions and bruises across her body.  Her attacker is still at large.
