A high school student was placed in prison with violent offenders based only the accusations of one person, and all criminal charges were dropped.

They might as well just hurry up and make "walking while being black" a legitimate crime already so we at least know what we did wrong when we're getting arrested.....

In Scotland racism isn't really a problem if anything being black helps your case. In america however i will agree there is still prejudice in the police force but not to dilute anything, the whole police system is rotten to the core. False charges everywhere, police planting evidence. Try pleading your case and the police making things up to get you in more shit, its truly horrible.

I hate when people pull the race card this stuff happens to people if every color. It is a sad story but I'm so sick of people thinking just because they are black everyone is out to get them

Stephen Sibell is right, lol. I'm so sick of the "it's because I'm black" card being played. It happens all the time. People forget that there are plenty of black people that hate on white people for no good reason and act like they're all owed something because their great ancestors were slaves.
Kevin Bulington:

Bob Peterson greatest answer i did not see that coming.
November 25, 2013 at 7:49 pm
Stephen Sibel and Aaron Duarte it's not about the race card. I personally hate that too. I hate it when people try to get over using that when they know they were wrong. I don't think anyone owes me anything, except for that one guy that owes me 500 bucks but that's getting off topic lol. That being said, you'll never know what it's like. You'll never know how it feels to have a random police officer pull up to you and conduct a stop and frisk because of how you look. A 17 year old recently blew the lid off of what the NYPD does and their quota system by recording him getting stopped and frisked. And being born and raised in Brooklyn I know that NYPD are some of the worst. This kid in this video was from the Bronx. The 17 year old blew the lid off of the NYPD was also from NY and recorded the officers themselves saying it's because of the way he looked. You'll never know what it's like to call 911 because you're mother is having a severe asthma attack and have the ambulance and police show up but the police detain you, her son, and ask you a bunch of questions because some other black kid in the neighborhood did something instead of focusing on the problem at hand; your mother's health. And it's not just black people. It's anyone the police think look like "punks" or "mutts". That being Latino, black, "young white trash" as they like to call it. So yeah consider that.....
See now I couldn't taken the low road and called youth both ignorant dipshits who're completely oblivious to the true dark side of society but I didn't. I'm so proud of myself. *pats self on the back*
Jeffrey Wood:

Ab Deuce Alaam Jameel pulling the race card is exactly what you did. The moment that you brought of the fact that he is a black man, and used the words we and we're, as if you were personally involved in this situation. The reporters never said anything about him being black, only that someone identified him as a robber. So naturally if that happens he is going to get arrested. For all you or i know he could have looked suspicious for whatever reason. It's complete BS that he was actually sentenced and its heartbreaking that he lost 3 years of his life though and that's what should be focused on, not the color of his skin. And if the other story you referenced is something that you personally experienced then i sincerely feel for you that that happened also. But you can't say that other people don't know what it is like to experience something when you too don't know anything about them.
And just so you know, simply because you brought up the fact that you didn't take the "low road" and call people names is the same thing as doing that, because you still wrote it and directed it at those people.
Anyways i don't mean to be rude to you but it seems like your judgement on this is pretty clouded.
November 26, 2013 at 7:52 am
Jeffrey Wood no, what I did was make a sarcastic quip. You're the ones who allowed a bug to shimmy its way up your butts :B My father was a police officer, I've only had one bad experience with law enforcement my entire 24 year life, while the rest were pretty pleasant, so I'm not exactly sure how my judgment is clouded. I see what I see and I don't let my own personal run-ins with police, whether bad or good dictate what I SEE and what I KNOW happens. It's called not being naive buddy.
November 26, 2013 at 7:56 am
Jeffrey Wood let me also leave you with some words of wisdom. When the whippoorwill whippers in the wind the wind will whipper back OH NICE AND CHUBBY BABY
November 26, 2013 at 8:17 am
Ab Deuce Alaam Jameel well you tried pretty hard to defend that "sarcastic quip" whenever someone called you out on it then. Sarcastic or not, just think before you speak. Regardless if something is meant to be sarcastic, comments like that are one of the things that is keeping racism alive it todays society man. It's not healthy if we are ever going to make any progress on that front at all. So some words of wisdom i'll leave you with: Think about the repercussions of your words before you spill them onto a public forum.
November 26, 2013 at 9:11 am
Well, I didn't try that hard actually though I feel like I should've. My coach used to tell me try your hardest and give 200%. It was during those times that I really pushed the envelope. I gave it my all and we won the nationals. Sometimes I feel like when I'm defending my sarcasm I should think back to those times. Why didn't I defend it to my full abilities? I could've done better. I could've defended myself like I used to defend my fellow teammates of yesteryear. Why wasn't I more facetious? The harder I think on those times the more I realize I never played sports in my entire life and I have no clue of what I'm even rambling on about. And you just read this for no reason whatsoever as I sit back and wait for those repercussions you were talking about to never come because this is the internet my dear sir, so you can lay down your internet warrior shield and sword and be at ease for the world will continue to spin...... Also NYPD hates inner city youth because race card, racial slurs, other controversial things of interest, etc etc :D
November 26, 2013 at 3:44 pm
Ab Deuce Alaam Jameel you clearly need simple things explained to you sometimes. The repercussions happen because it fuels racism and protest about it. Just like what you said originally upset 3 people to debate you. (Had any of us known that you were trying to be sarcastic i'm sure we would have all just laughed cause it would have been a funny joke.) Maybe you should just think about clarifying what you mean sometimes. This is the internet and things get misconstrued all the time. And you are right the world will keep spinning , but it will keep spinning in its backward-ass prejudice ways until people start changing their actions. Honestly if i had known you were making a joke though i would have just laughed and moved on, maybe hit a like button. Who knows. Anyways glad we cleared that up. Have a good one and be blessed my friend.
