VIDEO: Man attempts to rape mother on street, assaults her kids

A horrifying incident happened August 24 around 3 a.m. in Manhattan, NY when a woman and her three children were picked up by what they believed to be a registered cab driver.  At the end of the ride the encounter took a horrible turn when the driver, whose identity is unknown, began sexually assaulting the woman while her children were still in the car.  The woman attempted to fight back, and that is when the man turned his attention to the children.  A security camera captured the graphic incident.  That video, along with a local newscast about the manhunt now in progress, can be found below.

The children were taken to Elmhurst Hospital with minor injuries.  The driver is described as a Hispanic male in his 40s.

A manhunt is underway seeking the unknown assailant.
