Bill O’Reilly of Fox News says President Obama has grievances over slavery

Bill O’Reilly of Fox News sunk to a new reptilian low on his program “The O’Reilly Factor” Thursday July 19th, 2012 when he suggested that President Barack Obama has “historical grievances” for “things like slavery.”

Now O’Reilly is not afraid of being at the center of controversy, but in this latest “Talking Points” segment it is abundantly clear his intentions were to stoke the imaginations of his lowliest viewers into believing the president wants to force them into some type of reparation styled quasi-slavery.

The entire segment was bizarre, which is par for the course for Mr. O’Reilly who has stepped his rhetoric up in vitriol as the November election draws closer.

In specific O’Reilly said, “If you score big, he wants a big piece of the action so he can give what you get to other people.” He went on to muse, while promptly disclaiming he was likely wrong when he said, “Now I could be wrong about this, but I think Mr. Obama allows historical grievances. Things like slavery, bad treatment for Native Americans and U.S. exploitation of Third World countries to shape his economic thinking,”

He finished his rant by concluding that the president, “gives the bad things about America far too much weight, leading to his desire to redistribute wealth, thereby correcting historical grievance.”

O’Reilly knows his audience and he knew that even though he said “I could be wrong”, it would not matter. He said the magic words on air, and that is all the racists and fear mongers needed to hear.

Conversely, let the record show that Bill O’Reilly did officially announce his own idiocy earlier in July, owning up to a wager that I previously covered here.
